Prof Alewyn Nel (1981) is currently an Associate Professor at the University of Pretoria and a section editor at the South African Journal of Industrial Psychology. He completed his PhD Industrial Psychology at the North-West University in 2009 where he worked on the initial stages of the South African Personality Inventory (SAPI). His research interest is centred on cross-cultural psychology, especially pertaining to personality, identity and well-being assessment. Thus far he authored or co-authored 30 accredited national and international journal articles, and his work was presented at various conferences worldwide. Up to now he successfully supervised more than 30 master students and two doctorate students, and he received his Y2-rating from the NRF at the beginning of 2015.
